The CIMA Business Leaders’ Summit, CIMA Sri Lanka’s flagship conference and a premier event in Sri Lankan business circles, takes place on the 1-3 June 2006 at the BMICH, Colombo. With the theme “Unleash your potential” this premier event will help business leaders to continue their professional development and challenge them to explore how they can improve both individual performance and that of their business as a whole.

As a professional accounting institute whose primary focus is ‘Business’, CIMA makes a significant contribution to the management of the country through its annual Business Leaders’ Summit. CIMA has for the past 29 years successfully brought together important business personnel to discuss current and relevant issues, the outcome of which has continuously added value to the economic environment of Sri Lanka.

This year’s CIMA Business Leaders’ Summit seeks to explore the concepts behind, and the practical realities of, how countries and organizations can perform at the highest levels by unleashing the potential of people and it will attract some of Sri Lanka’s key business influencers as well as high profile speakers from overseas. Each year, the Summit generates great interest and offers top quality professional content which has a major impact on the way businesses and professionals conduct their affairs.

  • Our Keynote Speaker for technical sessions is Mr Shiv Kera, business consultant and founder of Qualified Learning Systems Inc, Singapore. “Winners Don’t Do Different Things, They Do Things Differently"
  • Dr Chintha Dissanayake, Industrial/Occupational Psychology Consultant of the Oxford Psychometrics in Belgium. She will present her paper on”Success – Hard Work or Just Luck?”
  • Mr Elmo de Alwis, CEO and Managing Director of SIGMA Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd, Australia.
    He will present the paper, “Unleash Corporate Potential – The Role of the Business Leader”
  • Dr Rob Yeung, will present his speech on the topic “Creating Your Personal Vision” and he is the Director - Business Psychology Consultancy, Talent Space, UK.
  • Mr David White, Consultant, Whitehorn Consulting Ltd, UK. He will present his presentation  on “Creating Your Future”
  • Mr Simon Murray, Chairman, Macquarie Group of Companies, Hong Kong.

An attendance of over 600 CIMA members, students and professionals from a broad spectrum of business and academic backgrounds is expected at this year’s conference, including allied events.
