How can private equity investment move forward from the latest turmoil in the credit market? A leading panel of private equity experts will reveal the risks and opportunities at this year’s CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) Annual Conference.
Simon Laffin, European Retail Adviser, CVC Capital Partners Ltd, Jon Moulton, Managing Partner, Alchemy Partners LLP and Tony Jackson, leading broadsheet business journalist, are headlining the private equity panel, chaired by Sarah Montague, presenter of the BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme.
The panel will seek to find the answers to questions including; Is this a bubble and when might it burst? Why can private equity purchasers pay such high acquisition prices? And what can companies operating in the public arena learn from private equity?
The conference, to be held on 8 November 2007 at the Congress Centre, London features a top line-up of speakers including John Micklethwait, Editor in Chief, The Economist magazine, Trevor Williams, Chief Economist, Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets and Paul Boyle, Chief Executive, Financial Reporting Council. Key topics include UK businesses and the economic outlook, business process outsourcing and offshoring, the business impact of globalisation and report leadership.
The theme of the conference is ‘the pace of change’ and the programme aims to encourage delegates to consider the key implications for business today alongside the pressures and challenges for the future.
Charles Tilley, Chief Executive, CIMA said:
“The CIMA conference provides the opportunity for delegates to hear the very latest in business thinking from expert speakers in their field. The 2007 programme focuses on the changing world where all business professionals need to be able to think globally to drive sustainable growth and shareholder value.”
The conference is sponsored by CODA.
