CIMA invites research on virtual organisations

16 November 2007 071116

16 November 2007

CIMA, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, is inviting proposals on the topic of 'the role of the accountant in innovative organisational relationships'. CIMA's interest in such organisational relationships is focused on the role of the management accountant in the formation of these relationships and management of the relationships once they are established. There are many terms used to describe these innovative relationships including virtual organisations, co-opetition and business ecosystems.

Any research methodology can be used for the proposal and research findings should be relevant to the academic and business communities. Grants for the project will range from £4,000 and £40,000 depending on scope and outputs.

The closing date for completed applications is 30 April 2008 and shortlisted enquiries will be invited to present their proposals to a CIMA review panel, which will be chaired by Professor Michael Bromwich from the London School of Economics.

Application forms can be obtained from the CIMA website: www.cimaglobal.com/research.
