What is the procedure if I decide to address a hearing of the Disciplinary Committee in person?

Answer

You will be sent a letter setting out the relevant procedures. It is important that you notify the Conduct Manager (Disciplinary) in advance of the names and status of those intending to be present, so that the committee can be informed.

An independent legal assessor will be present. The assessor may advise on procedure, give an opinion on whether the complaint has been heard fairly, and on any points to be considered. However, they will not play a direct part in the decision.
