CIMA departmental responsibilities for Members in Practice
CIMA Contact/Service Delivery/Data Management
- Be the main point of contact for Members in Practice (CIMA Contact).
- Deal with general Members in Practice registration/renewal queries.
- Renew all Members in Practice status details.
- Follow-up Members in Practice who have not renewed.
Professional Standards Department
- Send new Practising Certificate application forms to provisional Members in Practice.
- Receive/process new Practising Certificate application forms (sent to external panel of assessors) and update Practicing Certificate details.
- Undertake monitoring exercises to regulate Members in Practice, ensuring they adhere to mandatory requirements (Professional Indemnity Insurance, Terms of Engagement, Continuity Arrangements, Continuing Professional Development, and Internal Complaints Handling Procedures).
- Perform checks on Members in Practice that should be registered.
- Oversee content, correspondence and material related to Members in Practice registration.
Courses and Conferences
- Support to Members in Practice related to training courses and conferences e.g. Mastercourses.
- Support to Members in Practice Management Group regarding courses and conferences e.g. Annual Members in Practice Conference.
Technical Information Service
- Deal with technical queries from Members in Practice.
Members’ Network Support
- Be the point of contact for the Members in Practice Management Group.
- Organise support for the Members in Practice Management Group, including promotion of Members in Practice events.
- Provide support to other departments for any correspondence/material related to Members in Practice.
