Former CIMA President Claire Ighodaro voted 5th in the Power List 2007

CIMA (the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) is proud to see that Claire Ighodaro, CIMA President from 2003 – 2004, has been voted the 5th most powerful black woman in New Nation’s Power List 2007, which was announced on 27 August.

Listed by New Nation as ‘One of the financial world’s most important players’, Claire Ighodaro was the first female President at CIMA. Claire is currently non-executive Director of the Banking Code Standards Board, an Independent Board Member of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR), a Trustee of the British Council, a Council Member of the National Learning and Skills Council and chairs the Open University Audit Committee. Until December 2004 Claire was an executive at BT plc where she held a number of senior posts, including Finance Director, Broadband, BT Group plc.
