Examiner's notes
Regular reading of the CIMA magazine is advised.
There have been very rapid developments in international accounting standards in the last two or three years. Textbooks become out of date very quickly and it is important to ensure that you are not reading and learning information that is out of date. If in doubt consult the CIMA Study System which should provide up to date guidance in respect of standards up to the effective date. In addition current information about international standards is available from the IASB's website - iasb.org
