Another year has passed us by and I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2005.
I would like to thank all the Branch Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers and the committee members who have spent a considerable amount of time and effort putting together a programme of varied events for you throughout the year.
Whatever your CIMA status, why not take an active role in your local CIMA branch? There are many advantages to taking part in CIMA locally……..
• make valuable contacts and gain tips from key players in the financial world of today and tomorrow
• gain experience and develop skills that can be applied in the workplace and will take your career forward
• practice and develop skills used on the committee, as they are those used in a management team or the boardroom
• contribute to the direction of your institute. The local branch is the main point of contact with CIMA for most members.
Your local branch committee cannot successfully cater to your needs without your contribution. Initial involvement could be anything from voicing a suggestion to assisting in the organisation and running of an event.
