Eoin McGettigan of Musgrave Group UK and Guy Outen of Shell are among the leading industry figures who will be speaking at CIMA’s Annual Conference which takes place on 25 November 2005 at The Congress Centre, London.
The conference's theme this year is "The power of financial management" and the keynote speaker is Professor Roger Bootle, one of the City’s most respected economists. Bootle will focus on the areas of continuing professional development and the key challenges facing business.
Guy Outen, CFO for Shell Gas and Power and Director of Business Support will speak about delivering on performance. Outen is responsible for strategy, portfolio, planning, MA&D and all finance activities.
Eoin McGettigan, Executive Chairman of Musgrave Group UK will talk on mergers and acquisitions: caution or growth?
His session will be about whether mergers and acquisitions really add value, and for whom. He will pose the question of whether there is an industry in driving M&A activity and then attempt to provide the answers.
McGettigan had a central role in the acquisition of Londis this year – culminating in 97% of Londis shareholders giving their approval for the acquisition to proceed. The acquisition makes Musgrave Group the largest branded wholesaler in the UK.
