Transparency approaches

18 February 2003 030218

18 February 2003

Harry Byrne, President of CIMA, said:

"Transparency is vital at every level to maintain business confidence and protect the public interest. This applies not just to company accounts and the Operating and Financial Review (OFR) but also to CIMA’s own activities as a professional body. Membership of a professional body carries responsibilities as well as privileges. It is important that we are seen to act fairly and openly."

The Disciplinary Committee will sit in public to hear two cases of alleged misconduct on Monday 24 February. The hearings will take place at CIMA's HQ, 26 Chapter Street, London SW1P 4NP, commencing at 9.30am.

Anyone wishing to attend should contact Lottie Muir, Press Manager, on +44 (0)20 8849 2407 or email lottie.muir@cimaglobal.com.
