Andrew Gowers, Editor of the Financial Times, will be offering his views on the current health and likely future of business in the UK at the CIMA-sponsored Business Breakfast, part of the annual CBI Business Summit, on 12 June at the London Hilton on Park Lane. An audience of 100 corporate leaders, directors and their teams is expected. Andrew will be speaking on ‘Business at its best - long term strategies in a short term world.’

The CBI business Summit is widely regarded as one of the leading annual events in the UK business calendar. It is a thought-provoking, high-callibre event for senior business people enabling them to learn, discuss and debate strategic business issues with leading figures from around the world.

Chaired by Dr Laura D'Andrea Tyson, Dean London Business School; speakers at the main summit include Howard Lutnick, Chairman & CEO Cantor Fitzgerald; Rod Eddington, CEO British Airways; Luc Vandevelde, CEO Marks and Spencer; Paul Walker, CEO Sage; Robin Saxby, CEO ARM; Chris Ingram, Chairman Tempus and Vernon Ellis, International Chairman Accenture.

Charles Tilley, Chief Executive, CIMA, said:

‘I am delighted that CIMA is able to sponsor this highly focused business breakfast seminar. As the only institute whose sole focus is on training and qualifying accountants in business, our members and students play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of many of the world’s top businesses. It is therefore entirely fitting that we should support events such as these that add value to our members, their employers and in turn, their stakeholders.’
